Tatum Bell is a liar and a thief

Via Deadspin, this is one amazing story. The backstory: Tatum Bell, a running back for the Lions, was entrenched as the backup on the team. The Lions signed Rudi Johnson from the Bengals to become their new backup running back, effectively ending Bell's tenure with the Lions.

So what does Bell decide to do? Steal Johnson's luggage, that's what.

When Johnson was meeting with the G.M. of the team to officially sign his contract, Bell took it upon himself to steal Johnson's luggage which was on the ground outside of the G.M.'s office, and pass them off to a freind. After searching around the office, the Lions brass checked a grainy security tape, and sure enough, Bell was caught disposing of the bags. I suppose when a man takes your job, there is nothing left to do but steal his luggage.
