I dined at the five-star culinary wonder that is Blimpie's for lunch today. I know, I'm as surprised as you are--I thought they went under a long time ago. Shockingly there wasn't a single person in the store. Perhaps it was the fact their sandwiches are basically just bread with shredded lettuce and mayo. Perhaps it was because they ignored the national tomato and jalapeno pepper recall. Perhaps it's a combination of all these things. I did learn a valuable lesson though, and that is don't eat at Blimpie's ever again.
