I stood in line for 45 minutes this morning, but eventually cast my vote. Perhaps it was my first time voting in the state of New York, but I wasn't prepared for the ancient voting machine. I had to pull a huge lever to the right to initiate the machine, flick some additional switches to cast my votes, and then pull the lever all the way back to send out the votes. The machine was at least 50-60 years old and resembled the "machine" from the Princess Bride, complete with suction cups, levers, pulleys and water pumps.
